"Zombies?!" Rosemarie asked in disbelief, "But theyre not real."
"Yes, they are," Min Woo replied as he bandaged Jamies arm.
"No theyre not." (Rosemarie)
"Yes they are, and theyre horrible," Jamie said.
"You really saw them? Theyre really real?" Rosemarie asked, still not believing. Jamie nodded blankly, she seemed very
out of it. "Then, if theres zombies, maybe there really are vampires," Rosemarie said trying to make Jamie feel better.
Jamie shook her head gently, "I dont ever wanna see another monster or demon or anything like that again. EVER. That was
nothing like they make it look in movies. I always thought zombie movies were funny. But real zombies, are NOT funny."
"You dont wanna have your blood sucked by a vampire anymore?" Rosemarie asked quite surprised.
"No. I never wanna see another monster again." (Jamie)
Min Woo listened to the girls conversation with great interest. "You know, vampires arent really so bad," Min Woo said.
"Youve seen them before?" (Jamie)
"Yup. Theyre nothing like zombies if thats what youre thinking. Theyre not scary at all," Min Woo said, continuing to bandage
Jamies arm.
"What do they look like?" Jamie asked curiously.
Rosemarie was glad to see Jamie was returning to her normal self, she had been starting to worry about her.
"They look just like regular people, only a little paler. The only thing is theyre evil. Youd probably like dhampirs better."
(Min Woo)
"Whats that?" (Jamie)
"Theyre like vampires, only theyre half human and not evil. Theyre very beautiful," Min Woo said smiling. "Well, most of
the time," he said with a laugh as Dong Wan entered the room.
"Whats so funny?" (Dong Wan)
"Nothing, just talking about dhampirs," Min Woo said quite calmly.
Dong Wan tensed a little, "What about them?"
"Min Woo said hes seen them before, and most of them are beautiful." (Rosemarie)
"Yeah, I wouldnt mind having a dhampir for a girlfriend." (Min Woo)
"Why? You want to have your blood sucked too?" Rosemarie asked, wondering if she was the only one that didnt.
"Not my blood," Min Woo said with a naughty smile.
Dong Wan shot Min Woo a look. Min Woo snickered and looked back down at Jamies arm.
"Why are we talking about dhampirs?" (Dong Wan)
"I was just telling Jamie theyre nothing like zombies, right?" (Min Woo)
"Right," Dong Wan responded, finding himself growing increasingly uncomfortable with the subject.
"Youve seen them too?" Rosemarie asked in awe.
"Yes." (Dong Wan)
"Have either of you ever gotten bitten?" (Jamie)
"No, why dont we talk about why weve brought you here?" Dong Wan said, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah, why DID you bring us here? And who is this HE you keep talking about?" (Rosemarie)
"Ok, this might seem a little unbelievable, but trust me. Everything Im about to tell you is true. This may take awhile,
are any of you hungry? You may want to eat before we start discussing this." (Dong Wan)
"No, I dont think Im ever gonna eat again." (Jamie)
"Well, youre probably not gonna feel any better after I tell you this." (Dong Wan)
"No, probably not. But Im definitely in no mood to eat right now, so go ahead. Tell me." (Jamie)
"Where shall I begin? Mm, how about I ask you, how well do you know your uncle?" (Dong Wan)
"Honestly, I didnt even know I had an uncle. I only talked to him on the phone a few times. He offered to let us stay in
his house. Our apartment burned down and were out of money." (Jamie)
"Did you even think he may want something from you?" (Dong Wan)
"Yeah, I asked. He said it was his pleasure to help out a family member in need, and he said one day if he needed help
he hoped I would be there to help him, that was all." (Jamie)
"That day may come sooner than you think. You should return to wherever you came from as soon as you can." (Dong Wan)
"Why? Is that all youre gonna say? You keep telling us were in danger, you kidnap us in the middle of the night and bring
us here, and then you just tell us to go home without an explanation?" Jamie said starting to get angry.
"We didnt kidnap you, you came with us by choice. And I think it would be better if you left since were already getting
attacked." (Dong Wan)
"I wouldnt mind leaving if I had any place to go, but I dont. Regardless of what it is I still want an explanation, and
if you havent got one and you still want us to leave so badly , Ill just go to my uncles house." (Jamie)
"Ive got an explanation but I dont think youll believe it. And its not that I want you to leave but, it would probably
be safer for you." (Dong Wan)
"Tell me, I wanna know. I dont care if you think I wont believe it, let me decide for myself." (Jamie)
"Ok Your uncle sold his soul to the devil for eternal life and dark power. Now every Halloween he has to hold satanic rituals
and sacrifice virgins to keep his power. If he doesnt hell lose his powers, his life, and go straight to hell. And if you
havent guessed already, youre the virgins hes planning on sacrificing." (Dong Wan)
Neither Jamie nor Rosemarie spoke. Jamie looked at the ground expressionless. Rosemarie watched Jamie, trying to see if
she actually believed what Dong Wan had just told them.
"Ok," Jamie finally said, "I could believe that. I mean, at this point it doesnt seem totally out of the realm of possibilities.
But even if this were all true, and I did believe you, why are you 2 trying to help us?"
"We really hate your uncle. Hes pretty much ruined our lives by killing our friends and turning everyone else here against
us. We finally have an opportunity to stop him by helping you, and weve decided to take advantage of it. " (Min Woo)
Jamie thought very hard about what Min Woo and Dong Wan had said to her so far, "What do you think Rosemarie?"
"I dont know, theyve given us no reason not to trust them so far. And everything else has been so weird lately" (Rosemarie)
Jamie nodded in agreement, "I guess for now, we believe you. So what do we do about all this?"
"Weve got to think of ways to protect you. You havent even been here 24 hours and hes already sending monsters after us.
Weve got to keep him from getting you, and since youve got no place else to go, you must stay here. Were gonna have to barricade
all possible entrances to the castle and one of us will stay with you at all times." (Dong Wan)
"How are we gonna do that?" (Min Woo)
"The girls have to make a choice," Dong Wan said turning to them, "You can wait and lock yourselves in one of the bedrooms
or you can come with us. If you decide to wait, one of us will have to stay with you. You cant go into your room Jamie, its
kind of a mess. Also I dont know how the zombies were getting in and there may be more. So stay in either Min Woos, Rosemaries
or my room." (Dong Wan)
"I dont wanna stay here, I want to go," Jamie said.
"Me too," Rosemarie agreed.
"Besides, we might be able to help you," Jamie suggested.
"Alright, then well split into groups of 2. Jamie you can go with me, and Rosemarie you can" Dong Wan stopped as he saw
the evil smile on Min Woos face and remembered what he had done earlier that morning.
"Should I go with Min Woo?" Rosemarie asked innocently, truly unaware of Min Woos wicked intentions.
"Yes, you should. And dont worry Dong Wan, well be fine. Nothing will happen." Min Woo reassured him.
"Fine, but NOTHING better happen Min Woo, if it does you will be the one I hold responsible," Dong Wan said, agreeing even
though he didnt want to. The 2 groups split up and went their separate ways, promising to meet in the main hall when they
had finished.

Min Woo and Rosemarie walked down the long corridor. So far Min Woo had locked all the doors and windows, and put up barricades
on some of them just to be sure. Rosemarie walked beside Min Woo staring around in wonder at the gigantic castle. It was beautiful
and much more modern than she could have ever expected. But even though it had electric and running water through most of
it, it was still old fashioned. The decorations were very old and a lot of the chairs and other furniture were antiques. Along
the way Min Woo had decided to give her a tour since they were walking through anyways.
"Heres the sewing room," Min Woo said opening the door and walking in.
"You can sew?" Rosemarie asked with surprise.
Min Woo nodded, "Yeah, I know how to do lots of things. You get bored after hundreds of- uh, days So you learn to do many
different things to keep yourself occupied," Min Woo said, trying to cover up what he had almost said. Rosemarie had looked
at him a little strangely but didnt say anything, she just smiled. Min Woo smiled back. Nervously at first, but more calmly
as he felt himself relax. He went over and secured the window then they went on to the next room.
"Heres another sitting room. These are so boring," Min Woo complained as he went to check the windows.
"Why? I think theyre beautiful. You have very nice furniture, it looks like antiques," Rosemarie said admiring a very soft
couch with a pretty floral pattern.
"They might be nice to look at, but theres no point in having them when you get no company." (Min Woo)
"I suppose, may I sit down?" (Rosemarie)
"Yeah, go ahead. We could take a break, we have been walking around for awhile," Min Woo said finishing his check on the
windows then sitting down beside her. Rosemarie began to blush.
