Min Woo kissed Rosemarie lovingly, he had never gotten
such great pleasure from anything in his life. He
loved the way she made him feel, and he enjoyed the
time they spent talking just as much as he enjoyed the
time they spent in his bed. He realized more and more
that he didn't want them to be apart for a second,
and he knew that he loved her. There was not one thing
he didn't like about her, she was perfect for him.
He was so glad that he and Dong Wan had decided to
save the girls. Even though things hadn't been easy,
it had been worth it, and Min Woo really didn't mind
all the obstacles they had to overcome. It made his
life so much more interesting, and the castle seemed
much brighter now that the girls were there. He and
Dong Wan had not been so happy in a long time, and the
more Min Woo thought about this the more confident and
strong he felt.
"Rosemarie, I love you," Min Woo suddenly said.
Rosemarie was very surprised and did not know what to
say. Before she could say anything Min Woo spoke
again, "I love you and I want you to stay here with
me forever."
Rosemarie hugged Min Woo tighter, but said nothing.
Min Woo could not help but feel a little hurt. He had
hoped she would say she loved him just as much then
agree to stay with him, but she did not say a word.

Dong Wan reached out for her and she easily came to
him. She felt so good, even though she had planned on
him never doing that again, she had no regrets for
letting him.
"I thought you were never gonna let me do that
again," Dong Wan said and kissed her on the neck.
Jamie held onto him tightly, "I'm a woman, I'm
entitled to change my mind."
Dong Wan laughed gently, "So then, does this mean
you will do it whenever I ask? Or just when I seduce
you?"
"I don't know, we'll just have to wait and
see." (Jamie)
"What would you like to do now?" (Dong Wan)
"We should probably sleep." (Jamie)
"Yeah, you're right." (Dong Wan)
"But I don't want to sleep." (Jamie)
"What do you want to do? Oh wait, wait! I know, you
want me to suck your blood." (Dong Wan)
"No." (Jamie)
Dong Wan's eyes widened, "No? Is this some kind of
joke?"
"No, I just don't want you to suck my blood
anymore." (Jamie)
"Never?" (Dong Wan)
"Never." (Jamie)
"What if I told you I wanted to?" (Dong Wan)
"I'd say no, I don't want you to do it."
(Jamie)
"Why?" (Dong Wan)
"I'd rather have sex." (Jamie)
Dong Wan was quiet for a moment, "Ah, no way,
you're up to something."
"No, I'm really not." (Jamie)
Dong Wan looked into her eyes, "You'd rather have
sex with me than have me suck your blood?"
"Dong Wan!" She cried, turning away in
embarrassment.
"Look at me and tell me if it's true." (Dong
Wan)
She looked at him shyly, starting to blush, "Yes,
it's true," she said then looked away.
Dong Wan was so pleased that he turned her back toward
him and kissed her.
"Are you ready to sleep?" He finally asked her.
"Well, almost. Just 1 more thing." (Jamie)
"What?" Dong Wan barely got to ask as Jamie pushed
her mouth back to his...

When Jamie woke up she could not tell what time it
was. Outside the storm continued to rage. Jamie
assumed it was late morning or early afternoon. She
reached over and tapped Dong Wan, he kept snoring,
undisturbed. She giggled then leaned down and started
kissing him, "Dong Wan wake up."
He groaned and buried his face in the pillows, "No,
I wanna sleep."
"But we have company." (Jamie)
"So? They're probably not awake yet. Just let me
sleep, please?" (Dong Wan)
"I'll go see if anyone's awake. You don't have
to get up, but don't go back to sleep," Jamie said
and got out of bed. Dong Wan mumbled into his pillow.
Jamie continued to giggle and get dressed. After she
kissed him on the cheek one more time she left the
room.

As soon as she stepped into the hallway she saw
Lisette.
"Oh, good morning," Lisette said.
"Good morning, has anyone else woken up yet?"
(Jamie)
"Max and I are awake, but I believe Valencia is
still sleeping." (Lisette)
"Ok, um, excuse me for one second please," Jamie
said turning to go back into the bedroom.
"Isn't that Dong Wan's room?" (Lisette)
Jamie looked back at Lisette, "Yes, but it's mine
too," she answered then walked in.

"Dong Wan get up, Lisette and Max are awake,"
Jamie said climbing onto the bed with him once again.
"I don't wanna." (Dong Wan)
"You have to, they're probably hungry." (Jamie)
"Can't you make something? I always have to cook,
and it's so early," Dong Wan whined.
"But you're such a good cook. Which now that I
think of it makes no sense, how can you cook when you
don't eat anything but blood?" (Jamie)
"I don't know, I used to have lots of guests. We
even lived with normal human people, you know, who ate
that kind of thing. So I had to cook all the time, now
please just let me sleep a little longer. Come back up
when EVERYONE is awake, and then I'll come down."
(Dong Wan)
"Fine, but you better get up," Jamie said kissing
him then getting off the bed.
"I will," Dong Wan said, his voice muffled by the
blankets.
"I can't understand you," Jamie said and pulled
the blankets off of him.
He rolled over on his stomach again, but he lifted his
head and answered her, "I said I will, now give me
back my blankets. It's cold," he said then laid
down so he could go back to sleep.
"That's cuz you're naked," Jamie giggled, then
smacked him on the butt playfully.
He jumped and cried out in surprise, then turned and
made a face at her, "You"re gonna pay for that
later," Dong Wan said then pushed his face back into
his pillows.
Jamie giggled evilly then pulled the covers up over
him, "You're so lazy I can't believe it! Oh
well, enjoy your sleep while you still can," Jamie
said then went back out into the hallway.

Jamie made breakfast, and just as she, Lisette and Max
were about to eat, Rosemarie and Min Woo entered the
room. Rosemarie was wide awake but Min Woo looked only
half conscious.
"Good morning," Jamie said, happy that she was no
longer alone with Max and Lisette.
"Good morning," Rosemarie responded.
Min Woo just groaned and flopped down in one of the
chairs.
"Well, everyone's awake now except Dong Wan and
Valencia." (Jamie)
"Dong Wan's not awake? That's not fair! Go wake
him up! Why should I be the only one suffering?"
(Min Woo)
Jamie started giggling, "Yeah, he has slept long
enough. I'll be right back," Jamie said and left
the dining hall to go get him.

Jamie trotted down the hall happily toward Dong
Wan's room. When she got there she could immediately
tell something was not right. The door was open a
crack and she was positive she had closed it. She
carefully pushed the door open and slipped inside.
Enough light shone in for her to see the figure of
Valencia standing over Dong Wan, who was still lying
asleep in his bed. In Valencia's hand was a long
sword and she held it above Dong Wan, pointed directly
at his heart.
"DONG WAN!" Jamie shrieked.
Valencia looked up in surprise, and Dong Wan's eyes
popped open when he heard Jamie's horrible scream.
Valencia saw Dong Wan's movement out of the corner
of her eye and brought the sword down as hard as she
could. Jamie screamed and covered her eyes, she heard
a strangled cry and a sickening cracking sound that
made her stomach churn. It felt like her heart had
stopped as the tears began to spill down her cheeks.
"Dong Wan," She whispered, but he did not answer.

"DONG WAN!" She screamed and ran over to the other side of the bed. When she got there she saw the outline of both he and Valencia lying on the floor. She screamed even louder, "DONG WAN!!! NO!!!!" She wailed and buried her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. She suddenly felt someone grab her. "AHH!!!" (Jamie)
"Would you stop screaming?!" Dong Wan growled.
"Dong Wan! You’re alive!" She cried out happily, through her tears. She began to cry even harder.
"Yes I’m alive, so why are you crying?" (Dong Wan)
"Oh, I, I’m sorry. Are you hurt?" She asked, reaching to turn the light on.
He stopped her, "Not badly, and I don’t think you want to do that."
"You killed her." (Jamie)
"Yes," Dong Wan said standing up and taking Jamie’s hand. He led her back to the hall grabbing a pair of pants on the way. When they were in the hall he closed the bedroom door and turned to her, pulling his pants up, "Where is everyone else? Have you seen Min Woo or Rosemarie?" Dong Wan asked, beginning to sound panicked.
"They’re fine, They’re downstairs in the dining hall with Lisette and Max. You’re bleeding," Jamie said as she looked at the cut on his chest. "You’re not ok, she tried to kill you," Jamie said looking up at him, fresh tears filling her eyes as she once again realized how close she had been to losing him.
Dong Wan grabbed her and pulled her against him, "I’m fine, don’t cry. We have to go check on Min Woo and Rosemarie. If Valencia was a vampire hunter, chances are Lisette and Max are too," Dong Wan said as he tried to comfort her, "I’m fine, see? Just a little blood, it’s not gonna kill me."
Jamie pressed her face to his chest, "Ok, it’s just, I was so scared. I thought she killed you."
"No, I’m ok. She can’t kill me that easily." (Dong Wan)
"I’m glad," Jamie said, kissing his chest. She slid her tongue out against him, then to his cut and tasted his blood. When Dong Wan realized what she was doing it was too late. He pushed her away from him so fast she stumbled and nearly fell.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Dong Wan yelled.
"I’m sorry, did I hurt you?" Jamie asked, feeling very guilty. She hadn’t meant to hurt him, that was the last thing she wanted to do.
"No, my blood, if you swallow any of it-" (Dong Wan)
"AH!" Jamie started to scream and grabbed her head in her hands. Dong Wan watched her, his heart sank and he felt sick. Jamie screeched and collapsed on the ground still holding her head.
When she let go she bent her neck back and her hands dropped to her sides. She let out a terrible shriek and closed her eyes. Dong Wan watched in horror as fangs slowly emerged from her mouth. She became very quiet for a few moments, then opened her eyes and looked up at him. He looked very pale.
"Dong Wan, are you alright?" Jamie asked with a confused look on her face, as she realized it was suddenly very difficult to talk. She put her hand to her mouth and felt long sharp teeth where there had not been before. She gasped and looked back at him, "Am I…?"
"Yes. You’re a vampire." (Dong Wan)
Jamie looked at him, she was still sitting on the floor, "Does that mean, I’m evil?"
Dong Wan did not answer, he looked away from her.
Jamie lowered her eyes and felt like she would cry again.
"No," Dong Wan suddenly said turning back to her.
"What?" (Jamie)
"You’re not a vampire. If you were, you’d be dead. Even though there’s a violent storm, it’s still high noon . Which means, you’re a dhampir." (Dong Wan)
"So, I’m not evil?" Jamie asked hopefully.
"No. I can’t believe this, I thought if you swallowed my blood you’d become a vampire. You would have if I had sucked all your blood…" (Dong Wan)
"Then, this is a good thing," Jamie said starting to smile.
"I, I’m not sure… Oh! Min Woo and Rosemarie!" Dong Wan said suddenly realizing they were still downstairs with Lisette and Max. "Come on!" said reaching his hand out for Jamie’s. She took it and he pulled her to her feet, then they ran down the hallway.

Jamie and Dong Wan burst into the dining hall. Min Woo, Rosemarie, Lisette and Max had been quietly eating breakfast and now they all looked up very surprised to see Jamie and Dong Wan. Dong Wan had blood running down his chest and stomach, his eyes were glowing and his fangs were out. Even more surprising to everyone was Jamie’s eyes glowing and her new presence of fangs.
"No one move," Dong Wan ordered.
Lisette started screaming and jumped up from her seat. Dong Wan dove at her and knocked her down. Max jumped up to defend her but Dong Wan wrapped his hands around Lisette’s neck.
"Don’t move or I will kill her." (Dong Wan)
Max froze where he was and let his hands rest at his sides, "Don’t hurt her. She has nothing to do with this. Let her go, please, I’ll do anything."
"Dong Wan, what’s going on?" Min Woo asked now wide awake and stunned.
"They’re vampire hunters." (Dong Wan)
"What?! That’s it! That smell, I knew I recognized it!" (Min Woo)
"No, Valencia and I are vampire hunters. Lisette is not, so please let her go." (Max)
"Not yet, I want to ask you a few questions first." (Dong Wan)
"Ask." (Max)
"How did you find this place? Why have you come? You’re not really visiting your relatives, are you?" (Dong Wan)
"We were hired by a man named Murnau. Actually, my sister Valencia has been working for him for awhile, and she asked me to help her. But Lisette and I really are on our way to meet her parents. However, Valencia and I did plan to come during the storm so we would be forced to stop here. I really want nothing to do with hunting vampires anymore, and I haven’t for a long time. Since I met and married Lisette, I just wanted to lead a happy life with my true love and I regret coming here. Please let us go, I promise we will leave peacefully and not cause you anymore trouble." (Max)
"You cannot leave in this storm." (Dong Wan)
"So what shall we do? You’re not going to kill us are you?" (Max)
Dong Wan looked at Lisette, she was trembling and had started crying. He released her. She looked up at him with fear, then as quickly as she could, got up and ran over to Max. "We will not harm you if you do not harm us," Dong Wan replied. "Even if you try, you are outnumbered. It would be you against Min Woo and I, so I suggest you don’t do anything stupid."
"You have my word, I will do nothing," Max said, hugging Lisette tearfully.
Everyone was silent for a few moments. "Um, what happened?" Min Woo asked, no longer able to keep himself quiet.
Dong Wan looked at him in confusion, "What do you mean?"
"Jamie, she…" (Min Woo)
"She’s a dhampir." (Dong Wan)
Now it was Min Woo who looked confused, "She is? But how? That’s impossible unless you’re born as one."
"No, she swallowed some of my blood." (Dong Wan)
"And she turned into a dhampir?" (Min Woo)
"Yes. But let’s discuss this later," Dong Wan said then turned to Max, "I have a lot of things to ask you, what exactly did Murnau say to you when he hired you?"
"Well, he said that you had kidnapped his niece and her friend and that he wanted us to kill you. All of you. Even his niece, since she would probably be better off dead now after what you put her through. I didn’t believe it, but I went along with it anyways because of Valencia and because no one ever opposes Murnau. I knew he only wanted us to destroy your lives since he said you had destroyed his." (Max)
"Then, that means, you knew about the virgins?" (Min Woo)
"Yes, I knew he was looking for virgins. And I’m happy to inform you, he hasn’t found any and he won’t either. At least not by Halloween, there just isn’t enough time." (Max)
"I got a question too, did you know Valencia wasn’t a virgin?" (Min Woo)
"Yes, of course I knew. I was surprised when you asked if either of the girls were, I thought you could tell." (Max)
"We can, but, never mind about that… Why did you pretend you thought she was?" (Dong Wan)
"We were hoping we could get Valencia into one of your beds, it would have been much easier to kill you. We had already discussed it, and when that opportunity came up we both took advantage of it. I’m very sorry for that. Honestly, I only wanted to do it and be out of here as quickly as possible." (Max)
"I noticed you haven’t asked about Valencia." (Dong Wan)
"I already know. If she was alive, you would not be." (Max)
"Aren’t you upset?" (Dong Wan)
"No, for some reason I’m not. I think she is better off dead than working for Murnau. She was no longer the same person she used to be, and I think maybe now her soul can be at peace." (Max)
"Yes, Murnau is an evil man and has ruined many people’s lives. And I’m sorry to have killed your sister, but as you said she was not the same person she once was, and probably hasn’t been for awhile." (Dong Wan)
"I agree, and I apologize for her and my own actions as well. Will you please excuse us?" (Max)
"Yes," Dong Wan said. He could see Lisette was still disturbed and let her and Max leave since he did not see them as a threat.
