As Dong Wan bit her, he was extremely careful to make sure that his fangs didn’t touch her.
Jamie cried out as she felt a little pinch, "Oh~~~" She cooed and closed her eyes. Then a few seconds later she reopened them, realizing that his fangs had not even touched her.
Dong Wan could no longer hold back his laughter. He pulled away from her and lay down beside her, laughing so hard he could barely breathe.
Jamie slapped him on the arm, "It’s not funny! Stop laughing! I hate you!"
"I bit you, are you happy now?" He laughed even more.
"I wanted you to suck my blood," Jamie said with disappointment.
He leaned over and pulled her body to his, tenderly kissing her neck, "I know," he said in a soothing voice. "And I wanna suck your blood, but I really shouldn’t."
"Why?" (Jamie)
"Because, Min Woo and I agreed that we wouldn’t suck your blood. People already think we’re monsters, and my sucking your blood won’t help to convince them otherwise." (Dong Wan)
"That’s it? That’s why you won’t do it? Why do you care what they think? And I won’t tell anyone, I promise, it can be our secret." (Jamie)
"I’m not doing it, I haven’t done it in almost 100 years, and I’m not about to start again." (Dong Wan)
"You mean, you haven’t sucked anyone’s blood in 100 years?" (Jamie)
"No, I even tried to switch to eating solid foods but they make me sick so I’ve just been drinking animal blood." (Dong Wan)
"Why are you doing this? You’re supposed to suck people’s blood." (Jamie)
"I’m half human, so I don’t feel it’s right." (Dong Wan)
"Of course, just my luck. I finally meet a vampire and share his bed and he has to have morals. This is so typical." (Jamie)
"I’m not a vampire," Dong Wan corrected her.

"No, I’m not killing anymore people." (Dong Wan)

"It’s almost morning, I guess we should get some sleep." (Dong Wan)
"Yeah, speaking of sleeping, how come you sleep in a bed? Shouldn’t you sleep in a coffin?" (Jamie)
"I’m not a vampire." (Dong Wan)
"So, can you stay awake during the day? Or does the sun kill you?" (Jamie)
Dong Wan laughed, "The sun doesn’t kill me, I just don’t like it. I prefer the night."
"Oh." (Jamie)
"You know, you ask some of the stupidest questions." (Dong Wan)
"Shut up! Why are you so cruel to me? Not everyone has been alive for 100’s of years to figure everything out and be as smart as you!" (Jamie)
"You think I’m smart?" Dong Wan asked, surprised and somewhat flattered.
"No, but you certainly do." (Jamie)
Dong Wan frowned, "What are you saying?"
"You’re conceited." (Jamie)
"I am not!" (Dong Wan)
"Yes you are, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I really don’t like you." (Jamie)
"Yeah? Well I don’t like you either! I don’t know why I listened to Min Woo, we should have just left you to save yourselves. I don’t know what I was expecting. I can’t believe I ever thought I could find anyone to replace her. Especially you!" Dong Wan said angrily jumping to his feet.
"Who?" (Jamie)
Dong Wan didn’t answer her, he just began to get dressed.
"WHO?!" Jamie shouted.
He turned and gave her a cold glare, "Mind your own business. And I have nothing more to say to you, so goodbye," Dong Wan said then wrapped a long black cloak around himself and started toward the window.
"Goodbye?" Jamie said questioningly. Dong Wan slipped out behind the curtains.
"Hey, wait!" Jamie called, leaping from the bed and running after him. She got outside just in time to see him dive off of the balcony. She felt her heart sink in her chest and her breath stop, but a few seconds later he came back up, soaring past the edge of the balcony and toward the forest.
"You, you can fly?! You didn’t tell me you could fly! Come back here! Dong Wan!" Jamie screamed.
Dong Wan paid no attention to her and disappeared among the trees. He did not go far, he could sense something. And as angry as he was he had the feeling he should not let her out of his sight. Also it was morning and he was tired.
Jamie stood on the balcony, leaning over the railing as she strained to see into the forest, "Dong Wan!" She yelled. He landed on a branch and sat down to watch her. "Dong Wan! Please come back! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it ok?" She paused and waited for him to respond, when he did not answer she called his name a few more times then sighed and gave up. She sat down on the railing and looked around, Dong Wan watched her silently.

After awhile Rosemarie had gotten cold and so Min Woo had cuddled with her to keep her warm. They were now wrapped in each other’s arms. Min Woo could not tell if Rosemarie was still awake, she had her eyes closed and her cheek pressed to his chest. He looked out into the trees, he spotted the dark figure of a man. He looked closer and saw it was Dong Wan. Min Woo waited a few moments but then he started waving for Dong Wan to come over. Dong Wan saw him but did not come right away, however he did eventually come over. Min Woo watched Dong Wan swoop down from the tree and glide over. He landed a few feet away from Min Woo, on the balcony, with a soft thump. They looked at each other.
"What are you doing?" Min Woo asked.
"Nothing." (Dong Wan)
"What’s wrong? Where’s Jamie?" (Min Woo)
"Nothing’s wrong, and Jamie is right over there on the balcony outside my window." (Dong Wan)
"Something is wrong." (Min Woo)
"No it’s not." (Dong Wan)
Min Woo gave Dong Wan a stern look, "Fine, I was just thinking of… Her," Dong Wan said sadly.
"You mean…" (Min Woo)
"Yeah." (Dong Wan)
"Why? Dong Wan she’s gone, and it wasn’t your fault. You can’t keep blaming yourself." (Min Woo)
"Min Woo I killed her!" (Dong Wan)
"No you didn’t! You tried to warn her but she insisted, when you refused she made her decision. And after that, she wasn’t the same person. If it’s anyone’s fault, it’s hers!" (Min Woo)
Dong Wan turned his back to Min Woo and looked out into the forest. "Min Woo, she did it cuz she loved me. I thought I would be able to find someone to replace her, but Jamie’s nothing like her. She’s the complete opposite," Dong Wan said, starting to pace. Min Woo listened quietly.
"She’s loud, obnoxious, contradictory… She makes me so mad, I could just strangle her, but still I want to be close to her, and I don’t know if it’s only cuz I’m lonely. I wanted to find my true love, and when I thought I had, she left me. And it was my fault." (Dong Wan)
"Dong Wan it wasn’t your fault. You don’t know why she did what she did, you may never know. How can you be sure she did it cuz she loved you?" (Min Woo)
"She said she wanted to be with me forever! That’s why she wanted me to do it, but I couldn’t. And so she went to him. If I had done it she would have stayed with me." (Dong Wan)
"No, Dong Wan. If she loved you she would have stayed with you no matter what. She knew what would happen and if she had truly loved you she wouldn’t have let him do that. She would have been happy as she was and wouldn’t have made the choices she made. I don’t think she loved you, ever. I think she was only after one thing to begin with. And when you wouldn’t give it to her, she went to get it from someone else." (Min Woo)
"I don’t know why I’m listening to this, I’d rather listen to Jamie. I’ll see you later," Dong Wan said miserably and took off into the fading darkness.
Min Woo sighed unhappily. Rosemarie who had been silent the whole time, spoke. Min Woo realized she was not asleep and never had been.
"Min Woo are you ok?" Rosemarie asked with great concern.
"Huh? Oh, Rosemarie, you’re awake." (Min Woo)
"What were you talking about?" (Rosemarie)
"It’s a long story, I don’t want to go into it right now. Let’s go inside and get ready for bed." (Min Woo)
"Ok," Rosemarie said and they went back inside.

"Dong Wan!" Jamie yelled again. She had been quiet for awhile, even after Dong Wan returned to his place in the tree. "Dong Wan if you don’t come back here right now I’ll… I’ll jump off of this balcony!" Jamie threatened just as soon as the idea came into her head, she was quite pleased with it too. "I’m gonna jump~" She called in a singsong voice. She walked over and started climbing up on the balcony, "Look Dong Wan! You better catch me!"
"You idiot get down! You better not jump cuz I won’t catch you!" (Dong Wan)
"Dong Wan! You are still there, I knew you wouldn’t leave me! Please come here and talk to me." (Jamie)
"Fine, but only if you get down from the railing and stop threatening to jump." (Dong Wan)
"Ok," Jamie said happily and turned to face the castle so she could get down. Somehow as Jamie turned she lost her footing and fell sideways off of the balcony. She screamed, and no sooner than she had felt the ground vanish from beneath her feet, did she feel Dong Wan’s strong arms wrap around her body. She cried out in terror and grabbed onto him. He started laughing at her, and slowly lifted her back up and placed her on the ground once again. As soon as she had agreed, before she even moved, he had flown over since for some reason he had gotten the feeling this was going to happen. He felt he knew all too well that if he hadn’t been there she would have fallen to her death, and as usual his instincts had been correct.
"You’re so cold, like ice. Why didn’t you go in and get something warmer on if you were gonna sit out here on the balcony for so long? You could freeze to death," he said as he touched her bare skin.
Jamie was still shaking and did not answer. She had been so scared and everything had happened so fast.
Dong Wan swept her back up into his arms and carried her into his room. He closed the window then walked over to his bed where he set her down. She stayed right where he had put her, and watched him as he began to get undressed again.
"You like watching me get dressed, don’t you?" (Dong Wan)
Jamie blushed and immediately looked away. Dong Wan snickered and finished changing, then climbed into the bed beside her.
"Thank you," she said softly.
"Enjoyed it that much?" (Dong Wan)
"What? NO! I mean for saving me again." (Jamie)
Dong Wan laughed and pulled the covers up over both of them as he crawled closer to her. He pressed his body to hers to warm her, she was very cold.
"Don’t mention it." (Dong Wan)
Jamie snuggled up against him, "How can you be so warm?" She asked, feeling the heat coming off of his body.
"I was properly dressed." (Dong Wan)
"Shut up. Oh wait, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I can’t just be nice to you. I really don’t want to be so mean but I can’t help myself for some reason." (Jamie)
Dong Wan laughed again, "Yeah, I know the feeling. I’m sorry too, for before, calling you stupid and everything. You seem to have a similar effect on me, in that, I just can’t seem to be nice to you either."
"It’s ok, but, let’s make a pact that from now on we’ll at least TRY to be nice to each other." (Jamie)
"Ok, that sounds good to- What are you doing?" Dong Wan asked. Jamie had taken off her nightgown and then her panties.
"They’re not making me any warmer," she said then pressed her naked body back against him. He was very surprised. He just smiled though, and pulled her closer, he didn’t want to push her too far and upset her, he would be patient with her. He could never have imagined how well this would work for him.

Min Woo turned the lights off so Rosemarie could get dressed. He watched and found himself getting excited, he did not know why but he suddenly had no control. Watching her take her clothes off, looking at her naked body and knowing that she wanted him to take her virginity greatly turned him on. "Min Woo?" (Rosemarie)
"Y, yes?" He said, a little breathlessly.
She took inhaled deeply, "Can you see me?"
"Uh… What do you mean?" Min Woo asked, still fondling himself.
"Can you see in the dark? You are nocturnal, aren’t you?" (Rosemarie)
"Mmm, yes, you could say I’m nocturnal. And I can see better in the dark then you probably can," Min Woo admitted.
"Have you been watching me get dressed at night?" (Rosemarie)
Min Woo laughed nervously, "Uh, oh boy… Rosemarie I’m sorry, it wasn’t intentional."
"How can it not be intentional?!" Rosemarie cried jumping onto the bed and starting to hit him, "I don’t believe it! You’re a pervert! All this time I thought you were so shy and, OH!" Rosemarie gasped as she felt something pressing against her bare thigh, "Min Woo is that…."
"Maybe." (Min Woo)
"I guess you’re ready," she said softly and laid down on the bed beside him.
"Are you?" (Min Woo)

"You’re still awake?" (Jamie)
Dong Wan laughed, "I answered you, didn’t I?"

"I was thinking before, in order for my blood to be sucked-" (Jamie)
"Oh god not this again, please!" (Dong Wan)
"Shut up! Just listen to me! Trust me, you’ll wanna hear this." (Jamie)
"Ok, continue." (Dong Wan)
"Well I’d have to be a virgin to have my blood sucked, so I thought I should stay a virgin. But by staying a virgin, that leaves me open to all kinds of attacks and terrible horrible tortures." (Jamie)
"And?" (Dong Wan)
"And I told Ting yang-" (Jamie)
"Tae Hyung." (Dong Wan)

"Is this going somewhere?" (Dong Wan)

There was silence for a moment then Dong Wan spoke, "So what exactly are you saying?" He asked, not sure if he was understanding her correctly.

"Really? You’re serious? This isn’t a joke?" (Dong Wan)
"No, I mean it." (Jamie)

Dong Wan froze in the middle of his struggle to get his pants down, "OH WHAT NOW?!"
