"I don’t like her," Rosemarie said to Min Woo as they sat finishing their breakfast.
"Yeah, she’s pretty slutty for a virgin. Did you know that was her brother? Cuz I wouldn’t have even brought it up if I had known it was gonna turn out like this, I figured she could just sleep with him and that would be the end of it. But now Jamie and Dong Wan are all upset and fighting, and we’re stuck with another virgin. If Murnau does come and gets a hold of her, we’re all screwed. I can’t imagine he’s pleased right now. It’s less than 2 days to Halloween and without a virgin he’ll be on his was to hell soon. But if he gets Valencia, I’m sure once he gets his power back the 1st thing he’s gonna do is come here and try to kill us so we don’t stop him next time. We have to keep Valencia away from him." (Min Woo)
"You still think he’s gonna come even though we’re not virgins?" (Rosemarie)
"I don’t know, he might. Especially now that Valencia is here," Min Woo said then began drinking his blood again. They were both silent ‘til Jamie and Dong Wan walked in and sat down at the table.
"Is everything ok?" Min Woo cautiously asked after a few minutes.
"Yes," Dong Wan answered.
"The guests are all in bed?" (Min Woo)
"Yes." (Dong Wan)
"Um Dong Wan, do you really think it’s a good idea to leave Valencia alone? I mean, if Murnau gets his hands on her, we’re in trouble." (Min Woo)
"What? Why? Oh you mean that. Min Woo she’s not a virgin." (Dong Wan)
"She’s not?" (Min Woo)
"No, as soon as they came in and introduced themselves to me I knew she wasn’t, so I didn’t bother mentioning it. I guess you didn’t get close enough. Valencia, from what I can tell, has been with MANY men." (Dong Wan)
"Eww." (Rosemarie)
"Then why did she say she was and ask for, uh, our assistance?" (Min Woo)
"I don’t know. The more I think about it the less sense it seems to make. At first I thought since Max said she was, she just agreed so he wouldn’t find out how much she sleeps around. But then she asked both of us to sleep with her right in front of him, just as easily as if she had asked to stay here, like it was no big deal. So it must be something else, but I don’t know what." (Dong Wan)
"Yeah, you’re right. That was really skanky, I couldn’t believe she asked that. Right in front of everyone too!" (Min Woo)
"The only thing that I can think is that she’s a slut." (Dong Wan)
"Mmm, well I guess we don’t have to worry about Murnau getting her." (Min Woo)
"Um, excuse me, I hate to disturb you," a woman’s voice came from the doorway. Min Woo and Dong Wan quickly wiped their mouths and drew in their teeth, it was Valencia.
"What’s wrong?" Dong Wan asked getting up and walking over to her. Jamie felt her muscles tense.
"I think I heard a sound, I was frightened and I heard your voices so I came down. I’m sorry if I’m interrupting something." (Valencia)
"No, it’s ok, what kind of noise was it?" Dong Wan asked putting his arm around her to distract her, while he motioned for Min Woo to get rid of the blood. Min Woo quickly did so as Dong Wan walked Valencia over to the table.
"It was, like something outside my window. Like a scratching noise. I’m sorry, I know it’s stupid, it was probably just the storm but…" Valencia trailed off.
Dong Wan pulled out her chair and she sat down, "No, just stay here with us for awhile, unless you’d like to go to sleep," he said.
"I’m not really tired, may I stay with you?" (Valencia)
"Yeah, sure." (Dong Wan)
Min Woo walked back in, passing behind Valencia, he immediately saw what Dong Wan had been talking about. She was definitely not a virgin. But there was something else… Before he could figure it out Valencia turned and looked at him, "Is everything alright?" She asked, seeming startled by Min Woo.
"Huh? Oh, yes, excuse me," he said then went over and sat beside Rosemarie.
Valencia stayed with them and they talked for awhile. She told many stories of her trip so far, which Dong Wan and Min Woo seemed to enjoy. Jamie and Rosemarie made no effort to be nice, since they could not stand her at all. Finally Valencia said she was tired and wished to sleep. Min Woo and Dong Wan left the 3 girls in the dining hall and went upstairs to check her room, just to be sure there was nothing dangerous up there.

When the boys were gone Valencia turned to Rosemarie and Jamie, "What are your relationships with them?" She asked so suddenly that Jamie and Rosemarie were both very surprised.
"What?" (Jamie)
"Your relationships, how you feel about them." (Valencia)
"Why are you asking such a question?" (Jamie)
"I was just curious. Before when I asked them to take my virginity Min Woo refused, and you 2 have been hanging all over each other since I got here," Valencia said to Rosemarie. "I was just curious if you were lovers, or married."
"No, we’re not married." (Rosemarie)
"How about you?" Valencia asked Jamie. "You seemed very upset when I asked Dong Wan, but he didn’t seem to know why. It was like he didn’t know how you felt about him. And so I was just wondering what your relationships were."
"Why are you so curious?" Jamie asked in a sour tone.
"Just trying to make conversation, nothing else. Sorry if I’ve upset you again, I don’t mean to. I hope you don’t mind my saying, they’re very attractive men. But, it is a little strange that they would be out here in a castle in the middle of nowhere, don’t you think?" (Valencia)

Min Woo and Dong Wan talked as they searched Valencia’s room.
"Dong Wan, there’s something strange about her." (Min Woo)
"Yeah, we already talked about that." (Dong Wan)
"No, I mean something about the way she smells, kind of familiar." (Min Woo)
Dong Wan gave him a puzzled look, "Like what?"
"I don’t know. But, I feel uneasy about it." (Min Woo)
"There’s nothing here, come on, let’s go back down and get her," Dong Wan said and they started back down to the dining hall. "So, you don’t know what it is?"
"No, she saw me standing behind her when I was trying to figure it out, remember?" (Min Woo)
"Oh, so that’s what you were doing?" (Dong Wan)
"Yeah, but I didn’t get a chance to. Anyways, I think we should be careful of what we say in front of her, and now that I think about it, we left the girls alone with her," Min Woo said, stopping dead in his tracks.
Dong Wan also stopped, "You don’t think she did anything, do you?" He asked, then they both took off running.

They burst into the dining room panting and gasping for air, they stopped a few feet in. Jamie Rosemarie, and Valencia were all seated exactly where they had been before, and they were perfectly fine.
"Is something wrong?" Valencia asked, fear rising in her voice.
"Uh no, we were just having a race to see who got here first but, I guess it’s a tie," Min Woo said with a big grin.
The girls looked at them as if they were crazy.
"Your room is ready, there’s nothing up there, it’s safe. And we blocked all the windows, in case something does come, it can’t get in." (Dong Wan)
"Thank you," Valencia said, standing up, "I suppose I will go to my room now."
"I’ll walk you up," Dong Wan offered, he didn’t want her wandering around the castle alone because more and more he found himself not trusting her.
"Ok," she said with a smile and they walked out.
Jamie pounded her fist on the table, Min Woo and Rosemarie looked at her with surprise.
"You alright?" (Min Woo)
"No, why is he hanging all over her like that?!" (Jamie)
"Jamie, I don’t think he’s got any interest in her, if that’s what you’re worried about." (Min Woo)
Jamie grumbled under her breath.
"Trust me, I’ve seen him when he’s really interested in a girl, or loves her. And he does not even LIKE Valencia." (Min Woo)
"I don’t think he likes her. I don’t think he could ever like anyone as anything more than a toy for his pleasure, much less actually LOVE someone," Jamie said coldly.
Min Woo sighed, "You really think that? He was in love, along time ago and she broke his heart. I never trusted her, and if she were around now I still wouldn’t. She came to the village one year and started doing work for her grandparents. They had a shop and her grandmother had fallen ill, so she had come to help. Well, Dong Wan being young, stupid, and sex crazed as he was, chased after her. After he courted her for awhile she came to live with us here. He was so pleased, and by this time he had really fallen in love with her. He couldn’t see all the bad things she did, and the few months she spent here were hell. Every time she did something bad she would blame me, and Dong Wan believed her. She was cruel and got delight from torturing people and killing animals."
"That’s horrible! He didn’t know?" (Rosemarie)
"No, and when he found out about the animals he ignored it. But anyways, after she was here for almost 6 months, she told him she loved him and wanted to be with him, and so she asked him to suck her blood. All of it, ‘til she was a vampire. Dong Wan refused." (Min Woo)
"Cuz of that whole morals thing? You know, he doesn’t feel it’s right," Jamie tried to explain when Min Woo gave her a confused look.
"No, he didn’t want her to become a vampire because they’re soulless blood sucking demons that forever wander the night. He didn’t want her to become evil, but I think she already was. And when he wouldn’t do it, she left. When she returned, she was a vampire. Dong Wan was devastated, especially when she told him she no longer loved him and wanted nothing to do with him." (Min Woo)
"Who did it? Made her a vampire, I mean." (Rosemarie)
"Kyo. And once a vampire drains all the blood from a person, not only do they too become a vampire, but they’re under the vampire’s control that transformed them." (Min Woo)
"This is all really true?" (Jamie)
"Yes, and afterward Dong Wan was really depressed. I never saw him so hurt, he really loved her and I couldn’t understood why. He stopped eating and got really sick. I kept trying to get him to eat, but he refused. I told him he was gonna die, all he said was he said he didn’t care. I was really scared for him, I thought he was gonna die and I was gonna be completely alone, everyday he got sicker and I tried to get him to eat. Finally one day, he ate. I was so happy, but it was still a long time before he was well again. I was so glad he didn’t die." (Min Woo)
Jamie and Rosemarie smiled sadly, "Whatever happened to her?" (Rosemarie)
"She was killed. The townspeople used to go on vampire hunts all the time, during one of those hunts she was killed." (Min Woo)
"Did anyone ever try to kill you?" (Rosemarie)
"Yes, they didn’t succeed as you already know. But that’s why we don’t go to the town very often, and when we do we use disguises or we make sure not to be seen." (Min Woo)
As Min Woo said this Dong Wan came back into the room. Jamie looked at him, her eyes were sad and she seemed like she would burst into tears at any second.
"Oh no, now what’s wrong?" (Dong Wan)
Jamie ran over and threw her arms around him, he almost fell backwards.
"Hey, what are you doing? What’s wrong with her?" (Dong Wan)
"I’m sorry I was so mean to you." (Jamie)
"Uh, it’s ok," Dong Wan said uncertainly. He was not sure what she had done that was so mean but he wasn’t going to stop her if she wanted to grab onto him and hold him. "I’m hungry," Dong Wan complained.
Jamie gave him an unhappy look, "You really know how to ruin the moment don’t you?"
"Uh, sorry?" (Dong Wan)
Min Woo and Rosemarie laughed, "I’ll go get the blood, I’m starving. Let’s see if we can finally eat without anymore interruptions," Min Woo said then went into the other room. He returned and he and Dong Wan started where they had left off. This time they were pleased that there were no more interruptions and they were able to finish in peace.

After they were done they went upstairs. They had decided that since they had company they should go to sleep early this evening so they would be awake the next morning when the guests got up. Dong Wan was not tired though, and once they were in his room he decided he would read awhile before he fell asleep. Jamie was not tired either, and she was wandering around the room looking through her suitcases. Dong Wan wondered why she didn’t just unpack them, but didn’t say anything. He just ignored her, which wasn’t easy considering all the noise she was making.
"Dong Wan I need to get dressed." (Jamie)
He stopped reading and looked up at her, "Go ahead."
"I’m not gonna get dressed in front of you." (Jamie)
"Why not?" (Dong Wan)
"Because I’m not." (Jamie)
"Want me to turn the lights out?" (Dong Wan)
"No! Rosemarie told me about that." (Jamie)
"About what?" (Dong Wan)
"How you and Min Woo can see better in the dark than you can in the light. You did watch me get dressed before didn’t you?" (Jamie)
Dong Wan smiled, "You watch me get dressed all the time."
"That’s different! You know I’m watching- Oh, oh god, I mean, I’m not really watching, but you know that I could," Jamie stuttered, her face turning bright red.
Dong Wan started laughing, "I’ll turn the lights out ok?"
"Ok- NO! You can see in the dark!" (Jamie)
"Then just get dressed with them on." (Dong Wan)
"Can’t you leave for a second?" (Jamie)
"No, I’m comfortable and don’t feel like moving." (Dong Wan)
"Then at least turn in the other direction, or close your eyes." (Jamie)
"Just get dressed. You know I could see you when we had sex, and not only were you completely naked then, but I saw how every inch of your body was trembling, and all those cute faces you were making." (Dong Wan)
Jamie gasped, "Stop it! You did not! I don’t make faces!"
"Yes you do, like this," Dong Wan said setting his book on the bed and lying down flat. He leaned his head back and opened his mouth then moaned, "Oh~~ Wannie~~"
"I never said that!" Jamie shrieked.
"I especially liked this one," Dong Wan said closing his eyes and running his fingers over his chest then squeezing his nipples. "You kept moaning then you arched your back and your eyes popped open and rolled up in your head," Dong Wan said imitating this as he described it.
Jamie screamed, "I DID NOT!!! Oh my god! Stop! Just let me get dressed in peace!"
Dong Wan laughed hysterically, "Ok ok, go ahead, get dressed. I won’t look, I’ll keep my eyes closed and I’ll turn the lights off," Dong Wan said then reached over and hit the light switch.
"No! How am I gonna know if your eyes are closed?!" (Jamie)
"Look," Dong Wan said.
Jamie looked in his direction, his eyes were glowing, "Fine. Now close them."
Dong Wan closed his eyes, "Ok, they’re closed."
Jamie started to get undressed, carefully watching where she had last seen the glow from his eyes. The room was pitch black and she could not even see his outline. Outside the storm was going strong and it was even worse than before. Suddenly lightning crashed, illuminating the room. Jamie saw that Dong Wan’s bed was empty, he was no longer in it.
"Dong Wan where-" Jamie stopped what she was saying as she turned around to look and came face to face with him. She screamed, frightened by how close he was, "What the hell are you doing?!" Jamie cried out, he now had his eyes open.
He grinned and slid his arms around her, "Come here."
Jamie squealed as he started kissing her, "No!" She said as she pushed away from him.
Dong Wan laughed and tackled her, knocking her onto the bed. She yelled and tried to crawl away, but he scrambled after her. When he caught her he pressed her down onto the bed so she could not get away.
